Customer shot while intervening with attempted robbery at Muncie bank

MUNCIE — A customer was shot while trying to intervene during an attempted robbery at a bank in Muncie on Wednesday.

The Muncie Police Department says a man walked into the Prime Trust Financial Federal Credit Union and demanded cash. When a customer tried to intervene with the robbery attempt they were shot at. The customer was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect fled from the scene in an unknown direction. It is unclear if they got away with anything from the bank.
