INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is actively investigating a shooting that killed two men and injured two others on the southeast side Sunday morning.
Police say officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Barrington Avenue around 5:47 a.m. on a shots-fired call. At the scene, two victims, both men, were found. One was in a car, and the other was lying in the street. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene.
A short time later on Sunday, IMPD East District officers were dispatched to Community East Hospital on the report of a walk-in person shot. Responding officers found two victims, a man and a woman, both with apparent gunshot wounds. These victims are reported to be in stable condition.
IMPD believes these victims sustained their injuries during the incident on the 2700 block of Barrington.
The investigation into this incident is underway as officers look into how these victims are connected.
