INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department announced the arrest of a 19-year-old man on Wednesday following a local human trafficking investigation.
The Indianapolis man was arrested on Tuesday. According to IMPD, the 19-year-old is said to have driven a female minor to a meeting location on the city's east side at 2995 North Shadeland Avenue.
The minor, aged 16-years-old, who was involved in the investigation was later confirmed as a runaway.
The 19-year-old suspect was arrested for suspicion of Human Trafficking-Sexual Trafficking of a Minor, a level 3 felony.
The minor was transported to the Department of Child Services.
