IMPD, FBI seek public's help identifying credit union robber

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis FBI Violent Crimes Task Force is asking for the public's help identifying a man who robbed a credit union on Wednesday.

According to a report from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the Indiana Members Credit Union, located in the 7400 block of East 82nd Street, just before 10:30 a.m. Wednesday on report of a robbery. Witnesses told police a man presented a robbery demand note and then fled the branch with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white man, 5-feet 7-inches to 5-feet 9-inches tall, weighing approximately 170 to 180 pounds. The man was wearing a baseball cap, prescription glasses, a t-shirt, jacket and blue jeans. He was last seen fleeing on foot westbound from the credit union.

The Indianapolis FBI Violent Crimes Task Force is conducting the investigation into the robbery.
