IMPD investigating 18-year-old robbed at gunpoint near Southport HS

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis police are investigating a report of an armed robbery near Southport High School on Friday afternoon.

The incident happened around 1:15 p.m. at the Stonebridge Luxury Apartment Homes complex in the 600 block of Slate Drive, just two blocks west of Southport High School and a short distance east of the intersection of U.S. 31 and Banta Road.

According to the incident report, an 18-year-old man told police four men approached him with a gun and demanded his money.

The victim was not injured in the robbery.
