IMPD investigating deadly shooting on north side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead following a shooting Tuesday morning on the north side of Indianapolis, police said.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the 3800 block of Cornelius Avenue, north of East 38th Street near Crown Hill Cemetery, after 9:45 a.m. on a report of a person shot.

When officers arrived, they found a victim who was dead at the scene.

Police have not released information about a possible suspect or what led to the shooting.
