INDIANAPOLIS — Police are asking for the public's help to identify a man accused of violently attacking someone on the Monon Trail.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the Monon Trail in the area of 75th Street and Westfield Blvd. on June 20 for a report of a hit and run involving a bicyclist.
Arriving officers found the victim had been violently knocked off his bicycle and sustained significant injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital to be treated, his condition is not known at this time.
Investigators were able to identify a possible suspect in the area at the time of the attack. Police believe the man pictured on the bicycle above may have been involved.
The suspect was wearing yellow shorts, a gray sleeveless shirt and white tennis shoes on the day of the attack and is known to travel the Monon Trail regularly.
