INDIANAPOLIS — Two young children reported abducted this afternoon have reportedly been found.
IMPD Deputy Chief Christopher Bailey said the two children have been found.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department asked for the public's help locating a 4-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl who were taken in a non-custodial parent abduction on Friday afternoon.
Police were looking for Durrell Shepherd, 33, in connection to the disappearance of Gabriel Yates, 4, and Serenity Shepherd, 2.
According to police, the children were dropped off at the IMPD North District and are unharmed. Durrell Shepherd is with detectives.
Police said Shepherd left on foot with both children in the area of 30th Street and Baltimore Avenue. According to the non-custodial abduction poster, Shepherd should be considered armed and dangerous.
Shepherd is described as a black male, 6-feet 2-inches tall, weighing 215 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
