Indianapolis double murder suspect Mingo Thames arrested in El Paso

INDIANAPOLIS -- A man suspected in an April double homicide case was arrested Thursday in EL Paso, Texas, according to the Associated Press.

Indianapolis police identified Mingo Thames, 48, as one of two suspected in the murders of Darrel Miller and James Clark on April 20 in the 1600 block of Villa Avenue.

The other suspect, Maurice Turentine, was arrested in Mooresville, Indiana, in May.

Last week, Texas police arrested Thames while he was traveling the country with a California-based church outreach group, according to the Associated Press.

Thames was taken into custody without incident and was being held at a Texas jail while awaiting extradition to Indianapolis.
