Indianapolis police investigating fatal shooting at north side gas station

INDIANAPOLIS — A person is dead following a shooting Thursday night at a gas station on the north side of Indianapolis.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Major Harold Turner said an adult male was killed at the Marathon gas station at 710 E. 30th St.

Turner said police received a call at about 10:50 p.m. Thursday of a report about a person shot inside the station. Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Maninider Singh, 29, died from a gunshot wound in the incident, Marion County Chief Deputy Coroner Alfie Ballew said in an email.

Homicide detectives will interview witnesses and review security cameras at the gas station, Turner said.
