Indianapolis police investigating Monday death as a homicide

INDIANAPOLIS — Police in Indianapolis are investigating a person's death on Monday as a homicide.

According to a report from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 2400 block of South Meridian Street just before 4 p.m. Monday. A 911 caller told police there was a person down who was possibly deceased inside the residence.

When officers arrived, they found an adult male who was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Tuesday, the Marion County Coroner's Office ruled the man's death a homicide. The identity of the victim and the cause of death have not been released.
