INDIANAPOLIS — The June death of a 2-month-old girl has been ruled a homicide, according to information from police.
According to a report from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to an apartment in the 1500 block of Badger Drive on June 13 on report of a child that had stopped breathing. When officers arrived, they found 2-month-old Mylah Grady unresponsive. The infant was taken to an area hospital where she later died.
IMPD detectives from the homicide and child abuse divisions along with investigators from the Indiana Department of Child Services responded to investigate.
Police said the Marion County Coroner's Office on Dec. 20 ruled the girl's death a homicide due to trauma.
The investigation remains ongoing.
