INDIANAPOLIS — Domanique Johnson, who was convicted recently in a "love triangle" murder, was sentenced to 60-years in prison during a Thursday hearing in Marion County Criminal Court.

In January, jurors found Johnson guilty of murder in the August 2018 shooting death of Antoine Walton at a northwest side apartment complex parking lot.

According to Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears, Johnson tracked down Walton in the lot on Lenox Lane and shot him in the head. A friend who was with Walton and was armed shot and wounded Johnson.

As Johnson tried to drive from the scene, his vehicle struck a carport. He then checked himself into a hospital which is where police arrested him.

Investigators later learned the shooting stemmed from a "love triangle" involving Walton and Johnson.
