Man arrested in connection with eight Indianapolis arson cases

EVANSVILLE — A man was arrested in Evansville for his alleged involvement in eight Indianapolis arson fires.

According to a release from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, IMPD officers and Indianapolis Fire Department arson detectives identified a 40-year-old man as a person-of-interest following a fire on July 2 in the 1800 block of N. Talbott St.

David Bradsaw, 40, was found and arrested in Evansville following an investigation by the Arson Crimes Unit, Violent Crimes Unit and the U.S. Marshals Service, IMPD said.

The man is suspected of setting fires at 318 N. Drexel Ave. and 439 N. Drexel Ave. on Sept. 17, 2014; 401 N. Riley Ave. on Sept. 18, 2014; 1244 N. New Jersey St. and 1446 N. Alabama St. on Dec. 25, 2018; and 1851 N. Talbott St., 2124 N. Pennsylvania St. and 2064 N. Alabama St. on July 2.

The Marion County Prosecutors Office will determine the charges the man will face.

Investigators are asking for anyone with information on Bradshaw or the fires to contact Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477 (TIPS).
