INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead after a shooting on Indianapolis' west side Wednesday morning.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the 700 block of Hardin Boulevard around 8:30 a.m. for a report of a person shot. Arriving officers located an adult male in his early 20s suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the the stairwell of an apartment at the scene. The victim was transported to Eskenazi Hospital where he later died. His identity has not been released at this time.
Police are still working to piece together the details from the shooting, but they believe it was an isolated incident. They do not have a suspect description to release at this time.
