Man dies after shooting in home on Indianapolis' east side

INDIANAPOLIS — A man has died after a shooting inside a home on Indianapolis' east side early Tuesday morning.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the home in the 3400 block of N. Edmondson avenue just before 1 a.m. for a report of a person shot. When officers arried they found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

That man was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. He later died. That man's identity has not been released.

IMPD homicide detectives spoke to witnesses at the scene and determined that the shooting was a result of a disturbance inside the residence. The details surrounding that shooting have not been released.

Police have not made any arrests at this time.
