INDIANAPOLIS — A man is dead after being shot at a BP gas station Sunday evening on Indy’s northeast side.
According to a release from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, at approximately 6:58 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 3800 block of North Mitthoefer Road, which is right off 38th Street.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the victim as 39-year-old Aaron Smith.
According to IMPD, the shooting happened after a disagreement between two people.
IMPD arrested 44-year-old Erick Alvarez for his role in the shooting.
