INDIANAPOLIS — A man was found dead on the sidewalk near a park on Indianapolis' west side early Friday morning.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were initially called to the 2300 block of North Centennial Street just after 1:30 a.m. or a report of a person suffering from trauma.
Arriving officers found an adult male lying on the sidewalk on the edge of Centennial Park. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The man's identity has not been released. At this time there are no suspects and IMPD is investigating the death as a homicide. The exact cause of trauma and death will be determined by the Marion County Coroner's Office.
