Man killed in shooting in neighborhood near West 30th Street and Georgetown Road

INDIANAPOLIS — A man was shot and killed early Thursday in a neighborhood on the northwest side of Indianapolis, police said.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the shooting just after 3 a.m. in the 3100 block of Auburn Road, near West 30th Street and Georgetown Road. Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene, according to a report from IMPD.

Police have not provided information about what led to the shooting or if there is a known suspect.

The man who was killed has been identified as Jonathon Hogue, 35, by the Marion County Coroner's Office.
