INDIANAPOLIS — A person who was shot Friday evening on the east side of Indianapolis has died.
Officers responded to a report of a man who was shot just before 5:50 p.m. in the 6100 block of Nimitz Dr., according to information from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers found the man with a gunshot wound in the front yard of a residence, IMPD said. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, but he later died from his injuries.
