INDIANAPOLIS — Metro police are asking for help identifying a man accused of stealing a woman's purse and knocking her unconscious after shoving her into a pole.
Surveillance pictures shown above are from the scene on Salem Street, near 38th Street and Meridian Street. The attack happened just after 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
The suspect is said to be a black male, six feet tall, and 200 pounds.
After the altercation, the suspect is said to have fled northbound on foot through a nearby church parking lot.
