INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was shot in the buttocks while standing in his bedroom on Indianapolis' west side Sunday evening.

The man called 911 just after 5:30 p.m. and said that he had been shot when a bullet came through the wall of his home and into his bedroom near the intersection of St. Clair Street and Arnolda Avenue.

He was taken to Eskenazi Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers are still trying to determine where the bullet came from. Outside the home, police say they found multiple shell casings and at least two cars that had been hit. One witness told police that she heard up to 15 shots.

Other witnesses refused to talk to police.

If you have any information about the shooting contact IMPD or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477.
