Man's death on west side ruled a homicide

INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating the death of a man on the west side as a homicide.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers found a body lying by a bridge Thursday afternoon in the 2500 block of Eagledale Drive.

The Marion County Coroner performed an autopsy on the man Friday and determined the incident was a homicide. His name will be released after his family has been notified.
