INDIANAPOLIS — One person has died after being shot on the east side on Indiana Monday afternoon.
According to IMPD, officers responded to the 2300 block of Barnor Drive just before 1 p.m. for a person shot call.
They located Eric Portis Sr., 52, and took him to a local hospital in critical condition, where he died.
Police said preliminary information leads them to believe there was a physical disturbance between two men before shots were fired.
The man who fired their weapon stay on the scene and has been detained for questioning, police said.
