GREENFIELD — A 33-year-old Noblesville man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly attempting to pay for a purchase with counterfeit money.

Greenfield police responded to a call from the CVS Pharmacy at 1233 N. State St. regarding a man who used fake $20 bills along with real currency.

Officers found additional counterfeit money in his vehicle, along with receipts for purchases at other Indianapolis-area pharmacies.

He was preliminarily charged with counterfeiting and driving while suspended. Additional charges may be filed following an investigation.
