INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead after a shooting on the east side of Indianapolis Friday afternoon.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 2100 block of Braeburn E. Drive on a report of a person shot around 11:30 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found a male victim with gunshot injuries.
The victim was pronounced deceased, police said. The Marion County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 22-year-old Darius Thompson.
An investigation is underway.
