INDIANAPOLIS — One person was shot at an apartment complex on the north side of Indianapolis late Thursday.
According to a report from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, it happened at the Lakeshore Apartments in the 8300 block of Lakeshore Trail East Drive shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday.
Officers were called on report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found a person who had been shot. Police said the victim was awake and breathing at the scene and was transported to an area hospital. Additional information about the victim's condition was not immediately available.
The incident remains under investigation.
