One woman dead another wounded in double shooting

RICHMOND — There are many questions following an incident in Richmond Tuesday afternoon that left one woman dead and another wounded.

It happened about 2 p.m. at a house on Kinsey Street, just to the west of downtown Richmond and a few blocks north of U.S. 40. Richmond is about 70-miles east of Indianapolis.

According to the Richmond Police Department, officers found two women shot inside a house. One of them, 37-year-old Carlotta Wilkerson, died at the scene. The other, 30-year-old Lamita Vansickle was rushed to nearby Reid Hospital and then transferred to IU Methodist in Indianapolis for treatment of her gunshot wounds.

Police have not said whether they are looking for suspects in the shooting.
