INDIANAPOLIS -- An argument in an apartment complex parking lot ended with the deaths of two men, according to formal charges filed Thursday in the case.
Jonte Williams, 18, and Daquan Proctor, 23, were shot and killed on Sunday in the 6400 block of Mission Terrace.
Both men had been shot multiple times. Crime scene investigators found additional bullet holes in a vehicle near where the men were shot, along with at least 12 spent 9mm cartridge casings.
On Wednesday, police announced they had arrested 23-year-old Corey Harvey in the case.

The following day, Marion County prosecutors filed formal charges of murder against Harvey for Williams’ and Proctor’s deaths.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed in the case, witnesses told police the three men had been arguing just prior to the shooting.
At one point, Proctor reportedly told Harvey to come outside and fight him one-on-one. According to witnesses, Harvey replied, “Hold that thought,” and walked back inside his apartment.
Minutes later, witnesses told police a man wearing a black hoodie and gloves walked around the corner and opened fire on Proctor and Williams.
Multiple witnesses identified Harvey as the shooter.

A search warrant subsequently served on Harvey’s apartment turned up a 9mm magazine containing five rounds of ammunition.
In an interview with police, Harvey reportedly denied owning a gun, and said he had the magazine and ammunition to use when he rented firearms from Don’s Guns to use at their shooting range.
Don’s Guns told police they don’t allow customers to bring in their own ammunition for safety reasons.
