INDIANAPOLIS — A pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash early Friday on the southwest side of Indianapolis.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to Kentucky Avenue near Maywood Road around 12:30 a.m. after a passerby reported seeing a body alongside the roadway.
Medics arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The person's name has not been released.
Police believe a driver hit the victim and drove away. Parts of the car were found at the scene, which police said provided some leads in the case.
