INDIANAPOLIS — A person has died after being shot on the east side of Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the 2000 block of Kildare Avenue on reports of a person shot at 4:20 p.m. This is near 21st Street and Emerson Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot injury. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses were able to provide police with a description of a possible suspect who took off on foot. At 5:50 p.m., IMPD announced the 17-year-old suspect was arrested.
