INDIANAPOLIS — Police said a person was found shot to death Thursday afternoon in a house on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
According to information from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched just before 3:45 p.m. to the 5200 block of East 20th Street on a report of a person who had been shot.
Aaron Jones, 23, died from a gunshot wound during the incident, Marion County Chief Deputy Coroner Alfie Ballew said.
IMPD said a homeowner returned to the house and found the person, who was dead. The circumstances of the shooting are unclear and it is under investigation.
