INDIANAPOLIS — A woman was shot and seriously wounded on the Indianapolis east side Monday.
The victim's condition was downgraded to critical upon arrival at a local hospital.
The shooting happened at 10056 John Jay Drive which is near East 38th Street and Mitthoeffer Road, an area of the city with a serious violent crime problem.
Police had not said what led up to the shooting or whether there is a specific suspect they are looking for.
