INDIANAPOLIS — One person was shot and seriously wounded on the Indianapolis northeast side Monday evening.
Police were called to the 5200 block of Butler Terrace. That's near East 34th Street and North Emerson Avenue.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital.
Police arriving at the scene were talking to witnesses and trying to determine what led to the shooting, along with identifying a possible suspect.
It was the second serious shooting in about a five hour period in Indianapolis. A woman was critically injured on John Jay Drive around 3 p.m.
