Man arrested in connection with deadly shooting on Indianapolis' far east side

INDIANAPOLIS — A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting on Indianapolis' far east side Sunday evening.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to 4248 Ponza Court on a report of a person shot around 2 p.m.. Officers arrived and found an adult male victim with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.

The victim, identified as 21-year-old Kavon L. McClung, was pronounced dead.

Monday morning, IMPD said a man has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
