INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police are investigating a shooting Thursday afternoon on the city's northeast side.
Police were called to 3660 Hillside Avenue at about 3:30 p.m. A public information officer for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said one person had been shot.
The victim was rushed to Eskenazi hospital and was "awake and breathing" at the time.
There was no additional information from police on the victim and what might have led up to the shooting.
Police have not said whether a suspect has been identified.
