INDIANAPOLIS — An employee at an Indianapolis plasma center was shot during an attempted robbery early Wednesday morning.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the scene at the Saturn Biomedical Plasma Center at 3902 Madison Avenue around 6 a.m. for a report of a person shot.

Arriving officers found a female victim who had been shot in the leg. The woman told police she had just come into the business to start her day when two men came in and demanded money. When she told them she didn't have anything, she said they shot her.
