INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis police are looking for the reasons behind an early-morning shootout Wednesday that left four young people wounded.
A public information officer for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says all four victims are expected to survive. Two are juveniles and the other two are young adults.
At about 1 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to reports of shots fired in the Perry Park area. That's on Stop 11 Road near South Meridian Street, a south side neighborhood not prone to violence.
Police found four people shot near the park's entrance.
There is no word yet on any arrests from the incident or exactly why it happened.
