INDIANAPOLIS — An Anderson man is facing serious charges after state troopers say they caught him swerving on a highway, drunk, in a van with two babies inside.
An Indiana State Trooper noticed the van weaving between lanes on I-69 around 1:15 a.m. on Friday. It took a while for the van to stop and pull over.
The trooper says the driver, his girlfriend and two infants in a car seat were in the van.
According to police, he had a blood-alcohol content of .16 — twice the legal limit.
The man is facing drunk driving charges, including a felony since troopers say he was driving intoxicated with children in the vehicle.
