Police investigating after child shooting victim shows up at Eskenazi Hospital

INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating after a child shooting victim showed up at Eskenazi Hospital Monday morning.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers say the the 4-year-old girl was brought to the hospital around 7 a.m. Police say the child suffered a "graze wound" to the hand and is expected to be okay.

Officers have determined the shooting happened at a location on N. Mission Drive, according to IMPD. They believe several shots were fired into the residence and the little girl was injured by one of them.
