LAWRENCE — Three people were shot and killed at an apartment complex near E. 46th Street and N. Post Road in Lawrence on Friday evening.
Lawrence Police Department officers responded to the 4400 block of Duxbury Lane on reports of a person shot at 7:16 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located three victims suffering from gunshot injuries. All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
LPD identified the victims as Aaliyah Wortman, 19, Londyn Coleman, 19, and Spencer Lawson, 27.
“I really don’t know what to say other than a lot of people loved my son. He lived at home with me, and I loved my son more than anything in this world,” Lawson's mother told WRTV.
Police eventually arrested 24-year-old Malik Shaw for his involvement in the shooting.
Shaw faces three counts of murder.
