Police locate man in need of medical treatment near Anderson

ANDERSON, Ind. -- The Madison County Sheriff's Department said a man in need of medical treatment was located Tuesday afternoon, about two hours after police issued an alert for him.

The Anderson Police Department said 31-year-old Alex O’Dell walked away from a treatment facility located between Anderson and Lapel Monday night.

Police said O’Dell was apparently off his medications and in need of immediate treatment.

Shortly before 4 p.m., the Madison County Sheriff's Department announced that O'Dell had been located safely.
