Police make arrest in recent northeast side Indianapolis murder

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police have arrested a suspect in the recent murder of a man on the northeast side.

29-year-old Theo Sanford faces a murder charge in the February 29 shooting death of Justin Bonds on Leon Place in a neighborhood near East 56th Street and Interstate 465.

Bonds was rushed to an Indianapolis hospital but died of his wounds. Sanford was arrested and charged this week.

What prompted the shooting and other information about the case has not been released by police.
