Ball State also provided the following sexual assault crime prevention tips:
- Always get verbal consent from your partner.
- Make sure you have consent. Consent is a clear and freely given yes, not the absence of a no.
- If you feel uneasy about a situation, trust your instincts and attempt to interrupt the chain of events. Create a distraction and involve others.
- If you have been the victim of a sexual assault, tell someone.
