INDIANAPOLIS —An Indianapolis man is hoping his surveillance video can help find the thieves who stole his motorcycle right out of his driveway.

The theft happened around 4 a.m. Sunday on the city’s southwest side.

Victor Williams Jr. says he had been riding the bike and went inside and fell asleep on the couch before he was able to park it back inside his garage.

“I looked outside to see if I saw my bike on my cameras and I didn’t see it on my cameras and I stepped outside and looked, and it was gone,” Williams said.

Surveillance video from outside Williams’ home shows two men check out the motorcycle sitting in the driveway and then reach up to unscrew the lights, before stealing the motorcycle.

“From zero to 10, I’d say about a 12 – that’s how ticked off I am,” Williams said. “It ain’t right to take someone else’s stuff. I worked hard for that.”

Williams is upset about the brazen theft and his neighbor Derrik Gaskey says he’s now making security changes so the same thing doesn’t happen to them.

“Before, I didn’t lock up,” Gaskey said. “Now I have to lock up and be more cautious because things are happening now that it’s warm out.”

Williams and detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are asking for the public’s help to identify the men in the video above. If you recognize them, contact IMPD or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477.
