INDIANAPOLIS — One person is in critical condition after a shooting on the east side of Indianapolis late Wednesday.
According to a report from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, it happened around 8:20 p.m. in the 5700 block of East Washington Street.
Police said when officers arrived, they found a person who had been shot. The victim, an adult male, was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, according to police.
Investigators are still working to determine if the shooting happened inside an apartment building or outside in a parking lot, police said.

The incident remains under investigation.
