Shooting victim walks into Indianapolis hospital in critical condition

INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating after a person who had been shot walked into an east side hospital Monday evening.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to Community East Hospital at 1500 N. RitterAve. just after 9:30 p.m. They found a person who had been shot. IMPD said the victim is in critical but stable condition.

At least 17 people have been shot in Indianapolis since Friday.
