SPEEDWAY — Police in Speedway are conducting a homicide investigation after a person was found dead Friday morning.
Officers with the Speedway Police Department responded to the 5800 block of Crawfordsville Road around 4 a.m., Lt. Jim Thiele said.
Police were called to check on a running vehicle in the KFC parking lot. Officers found a Chevy Cruze on a snow bank and found a man, believed to be in his 20s in the driver's seat. The man had suffered apparent gunshot wounds and was unresponsive.
The man was later identified as 21-year-old Christopher Cantave.
