INDIANAPOLIS -- The all-clear was given after a suspicious package found Thursday morning at the Planned Parenthood offices in Indianapolis turned out to contain only clothes.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department went to the Planned Parenthood building at the intersection of 37th and Meridian streets around 11:30 a.m. after a green package was spotted outside the building.

The bomb squad checked the box and just found clothes in the bag.

The building was not evacuated.

Planned Parenthood released the following statement about the incident:

“At Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky (PPINK), the safety of our patients and staff is our top priority, and we have strong security measures in place to ensure that our health centers are safe, supportive, and welcoming environments,” said Ali Slocum, PPINK Communications and Marketing Director. “Earlier today, a suspicious package was investigated and cleared at the Midtown health center. We're grateful for the quick response of law enforcement and have resumed normal operations at the health center.”

A similar situation happened Monday, when a suspicious package was found at the downtown Indianapolis transit center. Police found some food and a bedroll that somebody left behind.
