15-year-old dies after being struck by bullets fired into Indy home

INDIANAPOLIS — A 15-year-old boy who was in critical condition after being shot on Tuesday has now died.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department public information officer Genae Cook said the teen was critically injured when someone shot through a house in the 1700 block of S. Talbott Street.

The victim was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition and despite the best life-saving efforts provided by medical staff, the 15-year-old male victim died from his injuries, according to IMPD.

The teen's identity has not been released.
